🛡️ Small filters, big impact – protecting extruders in Norway’s impressive aquaculture industry

Last week Philipp and our partner GF Piping Systems Norge had the opportunity to visit a very interesting application area for plastic welding!

During our visit, we came across a familiar issue: fine PE dust caused by frequent milling in the workshop… What can happen?

🌀 The dust is sucked into the extruder’s fan units.
🔥 It melts in the heating elements.
🚫 The airflow is partially blocked, overheating occurs – and sometimes the entire fan system even fails, causing repair work and costs.

But there is a remedy: our new MAX extruders are equipped with replaceable air intake filters that catch the dust before it can cause any damage.

✔ Easy to clean or replace
✔ Protects the heater and electronics
✔ Significantly extends the service life of the fan

Sometimes it’s just a small detail – but one that can make a big difference in harsh workshop conditions.
