Rhineland-Palatinate Innovation Award 2007 won by Mini Xtruder 17.12.07

From the very outset, the international launch of the Mini Xtruder was a great success for Munsch Kunstoffschweisstechnik GmbH. As there is no comparable product available on the market, the Mini Xtruder was truly a unique machine. This was confirmed again when Munsch got the Rhineland-Palatinate Innovation Award in the trade category and joined the seven proud winners in the other categories.

The Rhineland-Palatinate Innovation Award is presented annually in the categories enterprise, trade, industry, science-business cooperation and innovative services. It was introduced in 1988 by the Ministry for Economy, Transport, Agriculture and Viniculture, in cooperation with the local chambers of commerce and industry. The winner is chosen from a panel of nominated companies by an impendent jury. This year alone, there were 118 competitors, which shows the keen interest of companies in Rhineland-Palatinate in innovation that will enable them to remain competitive in the national and international marketplace.

With this award, Henrik Hering, minister for economy, transport, agriculture and viniculture, wants to promote innovation and encourage R&D facilities to cooperation more closely with local enterprises. He hopes that the recognition given to innovators will ensure that new ideas are not taken for granted and that the awareness for the importance of innovative thinking will continue to grow.
